Snakes, snakes, snakes!
So, last night, my roommate saw a snake in our room. A bit panicked -- and understandably so -- she reported the incident, though to no avail (neither UPD nor facilities could find the little monster). Not so understandably, my apartment-mates and I now are being relocated from K to S, so we don't get slithered-on to death by a garden snake. What's even better, my roomie and I aren't even supposed to go into the room and move our own things, lest we be attacked. So much for packing and not having random people touching our stuff.
But anyway, I was really just waiting for the opportunity to thank the folks who left their scaly little pet behind in the apartment, and now it's here at last -- THANKS. |

Apartment damages So I got way back ,a bill for apartment damages and its on my spring bill as an outstanding balance. Do I pay that right away or can I wait till the end of august right before school starts up to pay it? On an unrelated Question to those who might have the answer or is knowledgable on chinese culture or been to china:
I'm going to Shanghai for the Purchase summer program at Fudan University, I will be paired up with a Chinese student and was also told to bring several small gifts for chinese hosts. What are appropriate gifts to give? What should I not give? What should I give the student in particular?
Also, I saved up a bit of money for spending in China, I'm not sure if it is enough. I'm responsible for my own meals but housing is covered. How much money should I bring for food, a bit of clothing, museums and other tourism, transportation and other miscellaneousness to last five weeks? |
